With a total budget of 7.5 Million Euros and a duration of 42 months, CO-FRESH proposes to develop techniques, tools, and insights for the redesign of agri-food value chains based on the state of the art in technological and non-technological approaches, as well as current best practices and key success factors analysed in innovative value chains. The project will apply these tools and formats in 7 pilot cases across Europe, representing diverse fruit and vegetable agri-food value chains, including protein crops for food and feed.
CO-FRESH will use the Intervention Research approach, a research method that examines the effects of an intervention on an outcome of interest, to study models of collective innovation action within and across organizations. By doing so, CO-FRESH aims to (re)design and pilot innovative systemic approaches to agri-food value chains that can be scaled up at the European level. These approaches will improve economic, social, and environmental performance, as well as the efficiency of these value chains, by integrating technological, social, organizational, managerial, and institutional innovations to make them more sustainable.
Euro Coop's communication and dissemination efforts will be guided by a comprehensive strategy that takes into account the specific needs and preferences of each target audience. The strategy will leverage various channels and tools, such as social media, newsletters, and events, to ensure that CO-FRESH's outcomes are widely known and understood.
Euro Coop's role in CO-FRESH is to maximise the impact of the project and its results through effective communication and dissemination to a wide range of relevant audiences. To achieve this, Euro Coop will develop and implement a tailored approach to communication and dissemination within Work Package 6. This approach aims to reach all relevant actors in the agri-food sector, as well as citizens and academia.
By engaging with relevant stakeholders and disseminating the project's results effectively, Euro Coop will help to maximize the impact of CO-FRESH and contribute to the promotion of sustainable and competitive fruits and vegetables value chains in Europe.
