#coops4sdgs – Participate in Our Common Video Project!

On July 1st, the co-operative movement will observe the 2023 International Day of Cooperatives under the banner “Cooperatives 4 Sustainable Development.” The objective of this day is to demonstrate how the co-operative approach, guided by its values and principles, is fundamental to achieving the SDGs. To support this campaign, Euro Coop and other co-operative organisations based in Brussels launched a common video project to showcase the efforts of co-operatives across Europe in various sectors.

The common video project is an excellent opportunity for co-operatives across Europe to come together and launch a unified and future-oriented communication campaign to enhance their public image and showcase their strengths. By demonstrating how co-operatives in Europe contribute to sustainable development, we can inspire others to adopt similar practices and establish co-operatives as key partners in achieving the SDGs and the EU’s transition pathways.

To showcase the positive impact of consumer co-operatives on sustainable development, we are collecting 1-minute video interviews from individuals who are part of a consumer co-operative. Share your experience and insights on how your co-operative is contributing to sustainable development, and inspire others to adopt similar practices.

Deadline to send videos: 9 June.
Do you wish to participate? Send an email to adechirico@eurocoop.coop to receive the technical guidelines booklet.

Let’s work together to elevate the profile of co-operatives and position them as key partners in achieving a more sustainable and equitable society!
